When we work with commercial clients who want to redesign their office space, one of the key areas we focus on is the reception desk and welcoming area. This is the first impression a customer will get of the office or the commercial space. It must reveal a bit about the company, its culture, and its products or services.
We’ve done some great work, including this veterinarian clinic. But we’ve also seen some cool concepts around the internet and on various websites. Check out some of these unique reception desk designs from OfficeSnapshots.com for inspiration on your next remodel.
Check out this space. We love the contrast between the dark wall and heavy, rustic desk and the light and open space around it. This wooden desk also offers weight to the front desk area, making it feel older and stable compared to the more modern furniture around it.
This next reception area creates a whole mood. A lot is going on here. One of the first things you’ll notice is the lighting and the ambiance that creates. It allows for a soothing space. This area also incorporates some natural elements, with wood floors and furniture, contrasted with pops of greenery. This is a great example of a calming space.
This DOW reception desk is a great way to incorporate a blast of color into a welcoming area. With such a bright red, it’s not a color you want to go overboard with, but they’ve done a great job of incorporating it into the wall behind the desk. Coupled with the light and modern desk, this is a great simple, modern approach that still feels bright and colorful.
This reception desk and welcoming area are a great contrast from some of the examples of modern spaces we’ve looked at. With the huge painting, simple furniture, and small desk, the space is very purposeful. A great option for a law office or accounting firm, it sets a comfortable yet business-like tone.
Similar to the space above, this reception area also has a small desk with a wood wall behind it. However, the look and feel are very different. This is a more modern space with a sleek white desk, concrete floors, and a pop of color with the flowers.
This is another great way to incorporate color into receptionist areas. The white walls, ceilings, and floors give the space an open and modern feel, and the bursts of green and orange immediately draw the eye to those areas and give the room some character.
This reception desk is a great example of how to use unique lights and creative designs to make a fun space. This reception desk is pretty simple, with a curved white design. However, it’s the stencils that make it pop. The unique light above the desk also makes the desk easy to spot and creates a fun element in the entryway. They also added fun furniture to finish off the space.
This receptionist desk and welcome area at Roche show the effectiveness of adding multiple design elements. This space does a great job of incorporating glass, wood, marble, and a modern desk. The area feels clean and modern, yet welcoming with the wooden elements.
This receptionist desk at Sweet Leaf Tea is much more rustic than some of the other areas we’ve looked at. With an abundance of wood on the back wall and the desk, it makes the space feel very homey, casual, and down-to-earth.
The Bullseye reception desk is the opposite of the Sweet Leaf Tea space. This all-white from the ceiling to the floor look makes the space look clean, simple, and modern. To keep it from looking totally sterile, the glass behind the desk, the plant, and the blue room down the hallway add pops of color and warmth.
